Parmigiano Newport City Mall Branch

After the success of Parmigiano Ristorante Pizzeria first branch in Newport City Mall Resorts World Manila,  South people can now indulge in exciting array of authentic Italian cuisine at their newly opened branch located at Molito Commercial Complex Alabang.

image

A modern Italian interior design with a combination of yellow and brown color with matching white chandeliers creates a relaxed dining experience. The mezzanine adds  a homey feels too!

image

image

I’m sure everyone will go crazy over their 45 kilo Parmigiano Reggiano Wheel, the king of cheeses. Some Pasta dishes are prepared with an overload cheesy goodness using the cheese wheel.

image

From a family recipes, Parmigiano menu consists of 92 Italian dishes from appetizers to main courses and best cakes paired with your favorites soda, shakes, coffee, beers or even bottled wines.

image

“We would like to be the new dining destination of families here in the South. Whether for regular lunch, dinner or grand reunions, we want families to come together and go to Parmigiano,” said Giulius Lapino (President or Rigatoni Corp.)

Each Italian dishes are crafted with imported ingredients, meticulously prepared and served with generous portions that are perfect for feasting with the family.a total of 17 pizza items on its menu, made from freshly prepared hand-pulled dough  baked in a brick oven.

My personal favorite so far is the Margherita Con Prosciutto Crudo P585.00, tomato based topped with prosciutto and mascarpone cheese.

image

Pomodoro con Polpette  P350.00/single serving(traditional italian pasta with fresh tomato basil sauce and meatballs)

Ofcourse, your pizza goes well with a Pasta. You can never run out of choices from their 26 pasta dishes. Some of their best sellers are Pasta Del Parmigiano P470.00 (specialty pasta with ground and sausage mushroom in cream based sauce) and Cacio E Pepe P470.00 (cheese, pepper and parmesan cheese) both prepared with Parmigiano wheel.

image

Lasagna Ala Bolognese P470.00 (traditional oven-baked sheets of pasta layered with besciamelle sauce, bolognese, mozzarella and parmigiano cheese)

Spaghetti Al Granchio P475.00 (crab meat with cherry tomatoes, tomato sauce, vbasil and white wine)

I was overwhelmed with their Porchetta P875.00, it’s like a lechon belly served with mashed potato (which is sooo good!) and a salad. The meat was so tender and juicy!

Tiella Di Pesce P870.00 (truffle and cream based paella with assorted seafood and vegetables)

Reunite over good food at Plana’s Pantry

image

Time flies so fast it’s December once again. This is the season where  everyone’s busy planning for parties/reunions with family or even friends. Every special occasions needs fantastic food. I’m glad that hubby and I  discovered Plana’s Pantry along Mandaluyong.

image

This small restaurant caught my  attention from their shabby chic white interiors, hanging lantern and different words of wisdom posted on the walls. I’m sure this is a great place to catch up with your family, friends or special someone.

image

We arrived almost past dinner time and I’ve noticed that the place are too crowded, some people are waiting outside to get seated.  Aside from classy homey interior, I’m sure their food is the  main reason on why people are patiently waiting for their turn inside the resto.

(Incase you’re wondering hihi I took the photo above during our second visit last Sunday around 10:30 AM)

image

Plana’s Pantry offers Filipino-Western Cuisine, from starters, all day brunch, pasta and to the main dishes. Everything can be ordered in ala carte. If you’re in a group I suggest you try out the “Plana’s Pantry Together Meals” which we ordered during our visit.

image

You can have the following options:

  • Php 1,130.00 (4-5 pax): Hickory BBQ Ribs, Carbonara, Tomato Basil Shrimp Pasta, Corn and Carrots, Pesto Rice, Carafe Iced Tea
  • Php 2,950 (8-10 pax): Hickory BBQ Ribs, Carbonara, Tomato Basil Shrimp Pasta, Corn and Carrots, Pesto Rice, Carafe Iced Tea
  • Php 4,525.00 (14-15 pax): Hickory BBQ Ribs, Lengua, Carbonara, Tomato Basil Shrimp Pasta, Corn and Carrots, Pesto Rice, Carafe Iced Tea
  • Php 6,535.00 (18-20 pax): Hickory BBQ Ribs,Lengua, Chicken Teriyaki,  Carbonara, Tomato Basil Shrimp Pasta, Corn and Carrots, Pesto Rice, Carafe Iced Tea

image

What I love about Plana’s Pantry, they serve freshly cooked delicious dishes that each of their customer’s will get their money’s worth.

image

The one that stood out for me is the Hickory Barbecue Ribs. Tender, moist ribs, and oozing with goodness paired with Pesto Rice. The meat falls from the bone, I almost had the one slab for myself.

image

I find the Chicken Teriyaki a little bit sweet for me, but overall it was full of flavors inside and out.

image

Honestly, I’m not a fan of Lengua, but I never regret trying it out. It has a melt-in-your-mouth texture over a creamy mushroom sauce.

image

The usual Carbonara topped with bacon bits. I don’t know why, but this one will not give you an “umay” taste after. The stuffed  cheese bread on the side also balances out the richness of the dish.

image

You can’t go wrong with the Tomato, Basil and Shrimp Pasta. If you’re like me who prefers fresh tomatoes on my pasta than the canned one. I’m sure you gotta love this.

image

Don’t forget to try their handcrafted ice cream made from freshest natural ingredients. We had the Chocolate Rumble (Php65.00)  and Avocado Mambo (Php65.00). It’s so addicting!

So incase, you don’t know where to go or bring your friends. Try Plana’s Pantry and you will never regret it.

By the way, if Plana’s Pantry Mandaluyong Branch is too small for you visit their Quezon Avenue Branch. It’s more spacious and accepts reservation for any kind of events. See some photos below.

Love to Eat, Shop, Play and Pamper at the Amazing Transformation of IL Terrazzo

image

Hubby and  I went to IL Terrazzo last November 24 to personally witness the amazing transformation of the lifestyle center. Ths time it’s design was inspired by the Memphis Art-an art movement which dominated the 1980’s era.

image

image

The Transformation was led and organized by the Property Manager, Ms. Michelle Pe together with her marketing partner, Mr. Anton Magpantay from AeroSpace Inc. The event was successful in revealing the newfangled look of IL Terrazzo as well as introducing its current management.

image
IL Terrazzo’s transformation has now attracting more customers. They filled the center with bright colors and designs that’s more appealing to everyone.

image

The program included the mark of celebrating a joyful season as they light up the grand Christmas Centerpiece by saying a magic spell “Amazing Merry Christmas”. Bright lights and confetti intensified the celebration which brought a carnival feeling. Then, G-Force presented another entertaining performance which kept the high spirits alive.

image

Come visit IL Terrazzo and witness the splash of colors and cool waterplay from the first interactive fountain in the Philippines. By the way, they are pet-friendly too! Don’t forget to use the hashtag #AmazingILTerrazzo when sharing your IL Terrazzo’s experience.:)

First Collaboration Store of Yellow Cab and Jamba Juice

image

Good news to all avid fans of Yellow Cab Pizza and Jamba Juice, you can now easily enjoy the tasty offering of both brands in their first collaboration store at EDSA Shangri-La Mall.

image

“The idea spurred out of an East Coast meets West Coast concept and getting the best of both coasts in just one sitting”, explains MGI President and Yellow Cab Coach, Robert Trota.

image

I am fortunate enough that after the store blessing, Hubby and I had the chance to create our own Jamba Juice. It’s easier than preparing our own Yellow Cab pizza which we also tried before.

Now, I’m sharing  below on how I  made my own Jamba Juice Strawberry Smoothie hihi!😊

I  started by washing and sanitizing my hands, one of the basic protocol of every fast food chains. Each smoothie has a measurement guideline for every ingredients which is easy to follow. I grabbed a blender where I placed all my ingredients. Jamba Juice only uses fruit juice as a based for their smoothie you can guarantee that everything is fresh and without any artificial flavors or preservatives.

image

Two scoops of sherbet and frozen strawberries plus one scoop of frozen banana, shaved ice and my smoothie is almost ready. Thanks to Ate and Kuya for helping me out! See their happy faces?!😆

image

image

What’s the exciting part of making my own Jamba Juice?😀

I have to work hard for it, by blending it manually while using their bike! I think I shred some pounds after haha. But seriously I enjoyed it so much even though I’m sweating all over while pedaling the bike haha!😝

image

To get the perfect consistency for my smoothie I blended it again this time by using the blender.

image

Yey! My first  “Make your own Jamba Juice Smoothie”.

image

It was really a great hands on experience. Thank you Ms. Aimee and Ms. Anne (Legworks) and Sir Jared (Yellow Cab) for making us part of your family.😚

image

So c’mon guys get your favorite Jamba Juice drink and Yellow Cab Pizza in one space at their newly opened branch at the ground floor of the main wing in EDSA  Shangri-La Mall.

Warm Hugs in Every Cup at Cuddle Cup Cafe

image

Hello guys!! Yes! We’re back again.. After a sunny trip to my Alma Mater with hubby last weekend we deserve something cold and refreshing to end our day. We have tried many coffee shops before but this time it’s something different. Located just in front of La Salle University-Dasma  is the Cuddle Cup Cafe.

The Ambiance

image

Did you know that cuddling is a good medicine  because it can reduce stress and even anxiety. It can be an anti-depressant too.I’m sure when you see this coffee shop loaded with different sizes of teddy bears it can instantly make you happy. You can hug the bears for free.

image

Every corner of the shop has its own character. If you want to feel more comfy with your barkada or group the double-decker is a perfect spot. For a little more privacy there’s a small space with three cutesy bears painting on the wall. Shown in our first pic above. There are long tables with chairs if you’re not comfortable sitting on the floor.

image

They have an open coffee bar where you can freely watch their crews as they prepare your drinks.

image

Sungka, UNO cards, Skrib-Age and Game of the Generals are some of the board games that you can borrow for free while staying at the cafe. Perfect companion to kill time while on your break or if you want to disconnect with the online world.

The Food

image

Eventhough their menus are the usual thing for a cafe  I can guarantee that your money will not put into waste. If you know what I mean! Cuddle Cup Cafe’s Nachos  (P150.00), loaded with pure goodness of beef, cheese and salsa topped on crispy chips. Now, who doesn’t love nachos?

image

I am a huge fan of pesto, honestly this Tuna Mushroom Pesto (Php130.00) looks ordinary to me. Maybe it has something to do with the color but it proved me wrong. The pesto sauce was full of flavors and I considered this meal as one of my favorite (wink!)

image

This S’mores Dip (Php120.00) is hubby’s fave. I saw him scraping the skillet for the last smudge of chocolate and streak of marshmallow. Bread sticks can easily break but don’t worry you can always substitute a spoon just like what I did haha!

image

Cuddle Cup Cafe offers a wide selection of drinks from Hot/Over Ice (Coffee/Non-Coffee), Italian Soda  or Ice Blended. My personal favorite is the Oreo Matcha (Php140.00) I’m actually enjoying the bits of aunthentic oreo cookies over my matcha flavored drink topped with a whipped cream. A certified stress-buster drink!

image

This Salted Caramel Latte (Php100.00) is filled with warm flavors and is the perfect drink when you need your caffeine fix to pump up your day. Sip it, stir it, it’s up to you on how you want to drink it.

image

Tuna Sandwich (Php80.00) is composed of 4 chunks of bread with generous fillings of creamy tuna spread paired with potato chips. I find it too cheap for its price. Sooo delicious especially when it’s still hot.

Watch out for Cuddle Cup Cafe Christmas Edition drinks and soon they will be serving rice meals.

image

Because all we need is a hug and  a good cup of coffee!

Halloween is my nephew’s chance to dress up  in his  favorite character and go trick-or-treating. This year he asked his mom for a spiderman costume that he will use for his school activity but unfortunately something important came up and he missed it!

I promised him that we will do the Trick or Treat together and guess where we brought him?!

Tada!😍

image

Yes! We attended the McDonald’s  Grand Halloween Family Fun Day at World Trade Center. The original plan? My brother will only drop us to the event but then they decided to join us so my little niece can experience her first Halloween Trick or Treat.

🕸🎃🎟📷👀👻🤖

image

Ticket for kids cost P250.00 inclusive of Happy Meal toy, 1 pc. Chicken McDo with rice, sunkist juice, a pumpkin bag, cape and hat while for adults the ticket price is P85.00 inclusive of Cheeseburger and a bottle of Minute Maid. Cedric got so excited as he entered the event area  and refused to wear his spidey costume. He said his cape is enough haha!

image

There were lots of fun activities for kids in every booth. My nephew insisted to try it all!

image

Our halloween bonding is not complete without a souvenir photo which we got for a minimal fee.

image

I’m thankful that the event has a bigger space, fully air-conditioned and we felt comfortable during our three hours stay.

image

My beautiful niece wearing his first halloween costume hihi!

image

He insisted to have this picture taken so he can get a shampoo for his baby sister. How sweet!

My Google Duo experience at Mystery Manila

dsc_7278

Google Philippines recently collaborated with Mystery Manila Century Mall branch so we can personally experience the Google Duo App while trying to solve some mystery. I admit until now I can’t get over with our experience!

15058626_10154230466860805_2095992152_n

We were divided into 4 groups, this time hubby belongs to the other group. Our team was assigned to the Pym Particle. Our mission is to infiltrate Dr. Cross home/office to recover the Pym Particle and prevent it from ending up in the wrong hands.

15045747_10154230466580805_276851609_n

We were given two mobile phones installed with the Google Duo app that we can use to contact our partner group.  Google’s new app, Duo, (1) is a simple video-calling service that’s available for Android and iOS.

copy-of-img_9258

Our mandatory groufie while waiting for our turn:)

copy-of-img_9364

It was a bit challenging as we have to figure out answers to mind-boggling questions to be able to unlock all the rooms. You have to be patient and creative in solving the problems. An Ant-man inspired, you will feel you’re a giant or tiny creature in each room.

copy-of-img_9374

As an additional part of our task we need tosearch for mystery items and use Duo to connect with our partner group.  Duo is  (2) based on your phone number, so you can reach everyone in your phonebook without creating an account. This is me using  the video call to ask hubby to find the pair of spoon . Duo is (3) focused on 1:1 video calling rather than group calling.

copy-of-img_9377

Duo has a (4) knock knock feature where you can see a live video preview of the person calling yound why they’re calling, before you even pick up. Knock Knock only works with people in your contact list, and can be turned off.  Duo video calls are (5) secure, all calls are end-to-end encrypted.

copy-of-img_9519

We felt that the one hour alloted time is not enough, one more room to open and we almost solved it. Sigh! Blame it to the rotating padlock! (bitter haha!) Sorry! But I will not share what exactly happened in each room. It’s for you to find out! bleh!

Going back to the Google Duo, Video calling is the next big thing to being in person, but it can often be too complex. You shouldn’t have worry about whether you’re WI-FI, or not, or if your friend is using the same type of device as you are.

Here are a few features to try when you’re testing out Duo:

Wi-Fi/cellular handoff: Start a call on Wi-Fi and switch to a cellular network (try starting a call on your home Wi-Fi and then disable Wi-Fi in settings)

Performance on varying qualities of networks: Place a call while you’re travelling (passenger of a car, on a train) to see how Duo performs on inconsistent cellular connection

Knock Knock: Receive an incoming call with Knock Knock turned on (default setting) to see live video preview of other caller. Preview will show for max 30 seconds before call disconnection or you pick-up. Note – knock knock currently only works on the lock screen for incoming calls on Android devices.

Cross-platform: Call an IOS device from an Android device and vice versa.

Download it now and feel free to comment your own experience below!
