Time flies so fast it’s December once again. This is the season where everyone’s busy planning for parties/reunions with family or even friends. Every special occasions needs fantastic food. I’m glad that hubby and I discovered Plana’s Pantry along Mandaluyong.
This small restaurant caught my attention from their shabby chic white interiors, hanging lantern and different words of wisdom posted on the walls. I’m sure this is a great place to catch up with your family, friends or special someone.
We arrived almost past dinner time and I’ve noticed that the place are too crowded, some people are waiting outside to get seated. Aside from classy homey interior, I’m sure their food is the main reason on why people are patiently waiting for their turn inside the resto.
(Incase you’re wondering hihi I took the photo above during our second visit last Sunday around 10:30 AM)

What I love about Plana’s Pantry, they serve freshly cooked delicious dishes that each of their customer’s will get their money’s worth.
The one that stood out for me is the Hickory Barbecue Ribs. Tender, moist ribs, and oozing with goodness paired with Pesto Rice. The meat falls from the bone, I almost had the one slab for myself.
I find the Chicken Teriyaki a little bit sweet for me, but overall it was full of flavors inside and out.
Honestly, I’m not a fan of Lengua, but I never regret trying it out. It has a melt-in-your-mouth texture over a creamy mushroom sauce.
The usual Carbonara topped with bacon bits. I don’t know why, but this one will not give you an “umay” taste after. The stuffed cheese bread on the side also balances out the richness of the dish.
You can’t go wrong with the Tomato, Basil and Shrimp Pasta. If you’re like me who prefers fresh tomatoes on my pasta than the canned one. I’m sure you gotta love this.
Don’t forget to try their handcrafted ice cream made from freshest natural ingredients. We had the Chocolate Rumble (Php65.00) and Avocado Mambo (Php65.00). It’s so addicting!
So incase, you don’t know where to go or bring your friends. Try Plana’s Pantry and you will never regret it.
